Gateway to the Western Desert and Australia’s Largest Shire. Lying 15km North of the Tropic of Capricorn, Newman is a real oasis in the outback. It is sometimes referred to as ‘The Heart of the Pilbara’.


Onslow is a coastal town in the Pilbara region of Western Australia, 1,386 kilometres north of Perth. It has a population of 848 people and is located within the Shire of Ashburton local government area.
