Day 1 Tom Price to Karijini
120km (1&1/2 hour)drive
Depart Tom Price to explore Hamersley Gorge for the afternoon before settling into your accommodation at Karijini Eco Retreat.

Day 2 Karijini National Park West 50km (1 hour) drive. (B.L.D)
Hope on board a day tour with Lestock Tours at 8.30 to explore Karijini National Park. You will explore the Weano, Joffre and Dales Gorge areas including Oxer Lookout, a towering cliff face overlooking the junction of Weano, Joffre, Hancock and Red gorges. You will visit the renowned Karijini Visitors Interpretive Centre, which tells the stories of aboriginal culture and heritage, pastoral and mining histories, geology, fauna and flora.
The tour highlights include swimming opportunities at the spectacular Handrail and Fern Pools, Joffre and Fortescue Falls. Morning Tea and Lunch are provided on tour.

Day 3 Karijini National Park to Newman 260km (3 hours) drive (B.L.D)
Take a morning walk after breakfast to nearby Joffre Gorge. Travel via Kalamina Gorge and revisit any of yesterday’s highlights before leaving Karijini National Park and heading off to Newman.

Day 4 Newman to Marble Bar 307km (4 hours) drive (B.L)
Take a more adventurous and gravel road route through Nullagine and Australia’s hottest town, Marble Bar. The Marble Bar route takes you along a Geoheritage Drive trail where your Warlu Way App will guide you through the geology of the region. There are a number of potential gorges and sites to visit en route.

Day 5 Marble Bar to Port Hedland 2 hours (188km) drive
After breakfast, spend the morning exploring the historic gold mining region. Make sure you take a visit out to the Marble Bar itself for a swim. Departing Marble Bar after lunch, travel to Port Hedland in time to join Pilbara Tours at the Port Hedland Visitor Centre at 2.30 pm for their Salt Eco Tour or their Twighlight Tour departing at 4.30 pm. Return to town and make your way to your accommodation. Enjoy dinner at the historic Esplanade Hotel

Day 6 Port Hedland
Time to explore Port Hedland starting with a morning Seafarers Harbour Cruise at 9 am. This afternoon time is available to explore the historic trails and galleries pick up a self-guided map at the Port Hedland Visitor Centre.

Day 7 Port Hedland to Point Samson 250km (2 & ½ hours) drive (B.L.D)
This morning you travel down the NW Coastal Highway to the historic town of Roebourne. Stop off to visit the new interactive and interpretive Ganalili Centre in the historic Victoria Hotel. Roebourne is a hub for artists and you can take an opportunity to undertake an artistic workshop with Grateful Remnants.
The next stop is the historic town of Cossack and spend the afternoon exploring the restored buildings. If you are here in late July or early August you will be able to see the Cossack Art Awards exhibition.
After your time at Cossack, please make your way to Point Samson. Perhaps try out their stand-up paddleboards or go snorkelling this afternoon before settling in. For dinner tonight head to the Tavern for their famous local fish and chips!

Day 8 Millstream-Chichester National Park 400km (5 hours ) driving
After an early breakfast, head out to Millstream Chichester National Park via Python Pool (4WD dirt road access) and enjoy a swim in the permanent pool at Deep Reach and some walks before making your way to Karratha. Return via the bitumen road.

Day 9 Karratha and Dampier
After breakfast at local speciality cafe Empire 6714, explore the rock art at Murujuga National Park or join a guided cultural tour with Experience Murujuga at Ngajarli (Deep Gorge) on the Burrup Peninsula. Take a swim at Hearson Cove (a great spot to watch Staircase to the Moon if you are there during the full moon) before heading to Dampier and taking a selfie with the Red Dog statue.
Stop in for lunch at the Soak Cafe in Dampier for great food and excellent coastal views. Head back to Karratha for an optional helicopter flight with Helispirit and visit some of the amazing local lookouts or take a hike along the Yaburara Heritage trail. Pick up a map from the Karratha Tourism & Visitor Centre.
Maybe tonight enjoy a meal and cold drink at the local craft Brewery, Northwest Brewing Co or head into town to one of the many popular venues.

Day 10 Karratha to Onslow. 328km (3 &1/2 hours) drive (B.LD)
Departing Karratha travel via the NW Coastal Highway to the turnoff to Onslow. Enjoy lunch at the waterfront restaurant of Onslow Beach Resort.
This afternoon you explore the highlights of Onslow and pick up a local map from the friendly staff at the Onslow Visitor Centre. Sites include Old Onslow, the Salt Lookout and the wonderful ANZAC park.

Day 11 Onslow to Cheela Plains Station. 458km (4 &1/2 hours) drive (B.L.D)
Leaving the coastal trail travel via Nanutarra Roadhouse on the NW Coastal Highway and head towards Karijini. Next stop is Cheela Plains Station Stay.
This afternoon you pick up a map and information to drive yourself through the Beasley River Gorge time Trail before returning for sunset at the lookout behind the station.
