The Pilbara is the oldest known landscape on Earth, estimated to be more than 2.5 billion years old. There is no better place to witness this than at Karijini National Park. Karijini has spectacular 100 metre sheer-sided ochre coloured chasms. Hidden amongst this ruggedness are crystal clear rock pools, cascading waterfalls and tropical fern environments each offering easy walking tracks or viewing platform access.

Travel through the picturesque Hamersley Range to the entrance of the Karijini National Park. You will be mesmerised by its ancient land formations as we explore the the Weano, Joffre and Dales Gorge areas including Oxer Lookout, a towering but safe cliff face overlooking the junction of Weano, Joffre, Hancock and Red gorges. Visit the renowned Karijini Visitors Interpretive Centre which tells the stories of aboriginal culture and heritage, pastoral and mining histories, geology, fauna and flora.
Swimming opportunities at the spectacular Handrail and Fern Pools, Joffre and Fortescue Falls, and the highest lookout in Karijini at Knox Gorge.

Take a dip in some of the most spectacular and remote gorge pools that Australia’s North West has to offer on this half day tour from Tom Price to Karijini National Park.
Located in the north west corner of Karijini National Park, Hamersley Gorge is the most remote of the gorges. On the descent into the gorge, you can clearly see how the layers of rock bent and buckled before they pushed their way to the surface more than 2.5 billion years ago. At the base of the gorge, take a dip in the delightful gorge pool and relax in the shade of the trees.

A must-do when visiting the Pilbara region, this one of a kind experience takes you behind the scenes of one of the world’s largest open cut mines for a 1.5 hour tour.
Starting at the Tom Price Visitor Centre, guests are prepped for their unique mine experience and supplied with safety glasses and a hard hat. Travelling in air-conditioned comfort, be treated to full commentary from your guide en-route to the mine. Visit the pit lookout for panoramic views over the mine site (bring your camera!), view the enormous Haul Trucks and machinery at work as you travel to the process plant and onto the train load out area.
Your expert guide will give you up to date information and a unique insight into this large scale operation – from taking the ore out of the ground, through the crusher, along the conveyors to loading into the massive carts on some of the longest trains in the world.
